The Year in Outfits, part III

After the summer, I moved to a new town to study a Masters at a new uni! Life year has been great so far, although balancing coursework with writing a blog is a bit tricky. So there you have it, 2011 in outfits! Thanks for reading/following my blog, happy new year, and see you all in 2012, aaaah!!

Sandro studded shirt

This shirt by Sandro is so cool!! I love the crisp white silhouette paired with the studded shoulders. It is available here.

The Year in Outfits, part II

After graduation this year, I spent the whole summer doing an internship. I worked really hard all summer, but luckily I also had some fun! The pictures below are of friends' birthday dinners, the few days I spent in the South of France with my family, and the weekend in Paris I had with my family!

Shourouk Necklace

As you may have noticed by now, I am obsessed with Shourouk necklaces!! This one is really beautiful, I love all the subtle little details of all the different colours. Available here.

Primark Spring 2012 inspiration

These photos are from Fashion Foie Gras, and were taken at Primark's Spring 2012 preview. The collection looks absolutely amazing, go to Fashion Foie Gras to check it out. I couldn't help but notice that they have been heavily inspired by some fabulous collections, such as Mary Katrantzou's Spring 2012 collection (above) and Prabal Gurung's collection (below). Will definitely be on the lookout for these pieces!

The Year in Outfits, part I

As you have hopefully noticed by now, this is not a personal style blog. I do not upload pictures of my own outfits, but I find style items to inspire others' outfits. However, to end the year on this blog, I thought I'd go through the pictures I have of what I've been wearing this year. This has been a really important year for me, and it can be split up into roughly 3 parts. The first part of the year was all about my final exams and saying goodbye as I graduated from my first uni and completed my Bachelor degree. The pictures below are of End of Season hockey dinners, my 21st birthday, summer ball, and graduation.

Anton Heunis necklace

This chunky necklace by Anton Heunis features one of my new obsessions: gemstones painted gold! I love the effect of this! Coupled with silver rhinestones and a chunky chain, this is one fab piece!

Joomi Lim necklace and bracelet

I loveee these two pieces of jewellery by Joomi Lim! The combination of rhinestones and chains is one I keep falling for over and over again. Such a beautiful contrast! The bracelet is available here, and the necklace is available here.

Alessandro Gold French Liner

Ever wondered how you could possibly get gold nail tips as neat as the ones that have been on every fashionable person's nails this season?! I kept trying, but couldn't get them to look as professional as for example YSL's Fall 2010 nail images (above, via My Beauty Babbles). Then I found this gold french liner by Alessandro and my problems were solved! I've only found it online in one German shop, m-beauty, but if you go to your nearest Douglas store, I'm sure they'll have it there, because that's were I found it.

COS dress

This sophisticated little dress if from COS. I love the abstract (inspired by leopard?) print, and the cute black collar! You could make it work for day, night, work, a party, a date, anything!

DIY inspiration: tie-dye jeans

I love the cool, urban look of these black jeans! The tie-dye effect really makes sure that whatever you wear with them, it won't be a boring outfit. I think this would make an amazing DIY project, but if you're feeling lazy, they're available at Urban Outfitters.

Metallic nails

How was your Christmas everyone!? If you ate too much and do not fit in your fabulous clothes any more, here is another way to still look stylish! This is from Love Aesthetics, showing her kittens. And as much as I adore the kitten, those nails really caught my eye! Does anyone know how I can get similar, colourful shiny metallic nails?!
