DIY inspiration: Customized Vans

These Vans have been customized by Honestly WTF's Erica Coffman for charity. A group of celebrities, designers and bloggers were asked to give their spin on the classic Vans shoe. My favourite design was Erica Coffman's, and I'm thinking this would be a great DIY project! I don't know how thick the material would be, but this concept can be applied to anything: a top, a skirt, shorts! So simple and such a great result. On another note, Kristen Stewart was also asked to design one for charity (which aims to stimulate creativity), and this is what she came up with: scribbling her initials on them. Seriously?! I don't really see this design inspiring anyone to be more creative..

  19. I love the colorful shoes! I could see painting a similar design with fabric paint and that blue painter's tape to get the straight lines and clean edges.

The initial shoes, on the other hand... I'm at a loss for words on those.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment!
I love checking out your blogs as well, so if you leave a comment I will come visit your blog sometime soon :)
However, I firmly believe that you should follow a blog because you feel inspired, not as part of a follow-for-follow deal. I will NEVER respond to "want to follow each other" requests.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
