'Mirror' floral prints at Warehouse

The bold and rich mirrored floral prints presented in Givenchy's amazing fall 2011 collection have been effortlessly translated into Givenchy's spring 2012 collection, and into many high street lines. Warehouse is one of the retailers that has really mastered this look and brought us expensive looking mirror print items. Especially their skirts have come out beautifully. View my favourites below.

Dream Daily by Rozae Nichols at Anthropologie

Dream Daily is a line  by Rozae Nichols that is currently available at Anthropologie. The two items that caught my eye straight away where this dress and this skirt because I love the image of the flowers over the stripes! Not really a print clash, but it has the same beautiful effect! What a great combination! Find the collection here.

Karen Millen flower print skirt

This skirt from Karen Millen has a beautiful dark and mysterious flower print which I love! It's not as in your face as other flower prints, but I love the dark sophistication of it. Available here.

Brightly lined lace at Vera Moda

Taylor Tomasi Hill's collection for Lane Crawford is just one of the places where we have been seeing this fab new trend of white lace lined with a bright colour. This genius idea makes an immediate impact. Now Vera Moda have taken the idea and given their own spin on it. Instead of white lace, they have taken black lace and lined it with a beautiful bright blue. The effect is just as beautiful! Find the top here and the skirt here.

Oasis skirt in the style of No. 21 (DIY inspiration)

My eye was instantly drawn to this skirt when I was browsing the Oasis site. The bright pattern is really offset beautifully by the black lace panels. They both enhance the pattern and the model's figure. Love it! A few days later, I saw this feature from Grazia on Olivia Palermo, in which she wears a very similar skirt. This skirt is from No. 21 and is very similar. The Oasis version, of course is much cheaper, but i was also thinking of an even cheaper way to get the look: get a cheap printed skirt on sale and sew black lace panels onto it. What do you think, doable?
The Oasis skirt is available here and the image below is via Models1

Asos colour block skirt

This skirt, from Asos, is absolutely gorgeous! I love anything that involved neon yellow, but it really has been done very well here. Contrasted with black makes the neon pop even more, and I love how the sheer mesh line separates the two panels!

Karen Millen Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook

I really like how Karen Millen has been incorporating fashion trends in they're past few collections. The Spring/Summer collection works really well with bright colours, florals, and other prints. Plus, is it just me or does the yellow bag below remind you of Givenchy a bit too (still obsessed!). Find more looks here.

Cote Balloon Print

After posting about my my obsession with photo print last week, I have been seeing this trend everywhere! My absolute favourite take on it comes from Cote's Spring 2012 collection, which has the most beautiful balloon photo print incorporated into some pieces. I absolutely love the result! In the lookbook some of these items are paired with orange, which I think works beautifully. Also, I think that this print would look lovely with this summer's big pastel trend!

Topshop Spring 2012 look

Looks like I shouldn't have been worried about the mirrored flower print trend coming to the high street! First Oasis, then Warehouse, and now this look from the Topshop Spring 2012 lookbook has caught my eye. This look takes the trend to a new level by presenting it in a very chic black and white. I also love the idea of a high-waisted skirt with a matching crop top! Let's hope we see even more takes on this trend soon!

Photo print

I've been seeing lots of photo print clothing lately, like this skirt worn by Izzy from Metallic Paws. I LOVE this trend! I don't know what it is about it that intrigues me so, but right now I could just fill my wardrobe up with items like this and be happy! However, I've had difficulty finding (affordable) options. Then I saw this look from the Topshop Spring 2012 lookbook (photo via Topshop) and grew hopeful. Is that a photo print top I spy there? Let's hope so! Have you seen this style around anywhere?

Oasis floral print skirt

THANK YOU OASIS!! Since Givenchy presented fabulous mirror flower prints for a/w 2011, I have been completely obsessing over this effect! However, I didn't think that the high street would come up with any good alternatives. Boy, was I wrong! This pencil skirt by Oasis features a just as beautiful flower print and is so similar to the styles presented by Givenchy for resort 2012! (Runway images via style.com)

Fab and on sale: Zara skirt

The bad thing about the Zara sale: the discount is laughable. Some things have only been discounted by a few euros! The good thing about the Zara sale: there are lots of amazing pieces!! I got my hands om some really great stuff last week, but somehow I managed to overlook this lovely skirt! The silhouette is really stylish, and the muted floral print means that it won't be hard to wear. Let's hope they still have it next time I go to a Zara. Available here.

Fab and on sale: Topshop maxi skirt

When I posted my Year in Outfits, a lot of you seemed to like my sheer maxi skirt. Mine is by H&M and is a few seasons old, but I found exactly the same one on sale at top shop, and in a fab bright orange colour! It is available here.

Hope everyone's Christmas outfits have been successful so far! On the last day of Christmas, I would love to have been wearing this skirt, from Asos. But I'm sure I'll find something else to wear instead ;)

Givenchy style at Asos

Aaah to see the Givenchy Fall 2011 collection become more within my reach.. This skirt from Asos features a sheer part very similar to the skirts presented in this collection. It does not have the peplum that the Givenchy skirts have, but I think I actually like it more without! (Runway image from style.com)

Aztec print at River Island

I am loving so many things from River Island right now! One trend they are getting oh so right is aztec print. Their cool printed pieces look really modern and comfy, not to mention more expensive than they actually are!  Get the jacket here and the skirt here.
